This is my "Rockstar" Addie...

...she has been puking her guts out since Thursday night!

This morning she is asking for spaghetti and cookies,

Party Bunting...

So if you were wondering what I was going to make with all of that yummy fabric it was indeed this adorable bunting :) I'm just loving the colors and how it all turned out!

A few questions for all you lovely sewing peeps out there...

I wasn't quite sure how I should sew it together?

I opted for the easier version... 

sewing the wrong sides together and then using pinking shears to cut off the excess.

or

I could sew the right sides together and then turn the right side out!

Wondering which way people would prefer?

also

I need a fun name for these new beauties!

I'm off to cut out more triangles... I think I'm going to have to invest in a rotary cutter, (my wrists are killing me) do they have a pinking rotary?

Do you ever?

Do you ever lay in bed and think about your new fun idea? Well, I do and I could not fall asleep last night. Planning in my head, imagining the outcome of my fun idea!

Lately I have been thinking about what I could make for the shop with all of the fun fabric that is out there on Etsy.

I figured it out yesterday! I ordered these two sets last night along with a more boyish version too. I can't wait to get these and get started on it...

The only thing I'm going to tell you is, it has something to do with throwing a party

{trying to keep a theme in the shop}

Mantel LOVE...

My sister is here this weekend and I wanted to do a fun project.

So we decided to do the mantel. I'm loving how it turned out...

...especially since I spent $0. Yep that's right I didn't spend a dime :)

We went on a nature walk where we picked up some random sticks,

we grouped them together, added some green glitter to the tips, 

stuck on some flowers and birds that I had in my crafting stash and cut out the word, "Bloom" for the garland in Amy Butler paper.

It's subtle and delicate and of course my favorite part FREE :)

{I'm kind of on a tight budget, if you haven't noticed!}

A New Addition to the Shop...

A new delectable "sweet" cake will be in the shop sometime next week,

using this wonderful paper.

and Yes folks I went ahead and purchased this sweet dress box template

for the shop as well! I was sort of hesitant about it, but I think it will be fun and flirty.

This will be so fun to personalize!

Can't wait to use it :)

So happy that today is SPRiNG and that means warmer temps right around the corner, well at least more sunshine :)

Hope you all have a fun weekend! My littlest sister is coming to visit me until Monday! I am super excited and can't wait to chat, shop, craft and drink Starbucks together :)

Who doesn't love Wendy's frostys? 

I am going out on a limb here and saying, "You're weird if you don't!" 

So, what do I do when I'm craving something sweet, but only have vanilla ice cream 

{which is SO boring and not sweet enough!}

in the house?

I scoop up my vanilla ice cream, 

sprinkle Hershey's baking cocoa on top,

let it sit around for 5-10 minutes,

stir it up

and

ENJOY!

Aha... I have an Idea

One thing is for sure my kids LOVE sweets :) I wonder where they pick that trait up from?

My sweet little one today gave me an idea... I have been wanting to do a photo shoot with the girls this spring outside! I have in my head a beautiful orchard with blossoms all over.

It just sounds wonderful!

I've been wanting some super cute and over the top outfits too! I know it's been done before, but I am so into these pettiskirts! I mean talk about over the top. Wouldn't it be fun to have bright pink cowboy boots and rainbow tights, with a personalized shirt :) I'm getting so excited!

There seems to be a slight hiccup in my planning... we have no extra income and these skirts run anywhere from $60-$100, SHEESH! Except for today I came across a blog that pointed me in the direction of Martha Stewart

I have confidence that I could totally make the girls these adorable skirts, for a fraction of the price. Now I just have to wait for fabric to go on sale and talk the husband into this great idea! I mean the money I would be saving, by doing my own photography, making the skirts and possibly making money since my friend has been wanting one of these pettiskirts for her daughter, but hasn't splurged yet;)

I know I have my work cut out for me so if you know of any sales on fabric right now let me know... I'm looking for satin and chiffon! Fancy shcmancy!

Gearing up for SPRiNG

It's almost SPRiNG... I can hardly contain myself! Warmer weather, birds chirping away, building their new nests, the SUNSHiNE, thunderstorms and playing outside all come to my mind!

Another fun thing in the SPRiNG is celebrating Easter. Easter is not the same for everyone. I love all the springy things that come with Easter, but the reason I celebrate Easter is the resurrection of Christ Jesus!

I am so thankful that my heavenly father loved me enough.

For fun and  just because I am really excited for SPRiNG I am giving away 6 carrots freshly picked from my crafty garden {minus the dirt!}
